In a bid to continue strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, the LGA’s party’s leader, Chief Dr. Eruba Dimgba, has called on stakeholders to adopt an open-door policy, welcoming new members and encouraging others to join.

Speaking at an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting at the Ukwa West LGA party office in Obehie, Chief Dimgba emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in achieving success in the next general election.

He urged party members to put aside individual interests and work towards a common goal, adding that anyone with a genuine advice on how the party will continue to grow shouldn’t hesitate to bring it to the table.

The stakeholders’ meeting, which was attended by key party stakeholders, including Elder Uju Nwarie,
Chief Dr Eruba Dimgba, Chief Sir Don Ubani, High Chief Sylvanus Nwaji,Hon Mezie Nwaubani,Chief Okey Kanu, Chief Felix Ebere,Chief Nwogu N. Nwogu, Barr Sam Nwosu,Hon Ezedinachi Kanu,Mrs Anthonia Moses, Hon Henry Nwokemgbede, Chief Dans Adokiye,Chief John Ajuzieogu, Barr Henry Chilaka,Elder Azubuike A. Ogbonna,Chief ThankGod Ntaku, Engr Sterling Uruakpa and other esteemed leaders, resolved to work towards the re-election of the President and deliver all other positions for APC in the next General Election.

Some of the key highlights of the meeting include:
- A unanimous agreement to work hard for the President’s re-election and ensure a huge margin of victory in Ukwa West.
- The expansion of the Renew-Hope Partners forum which is spearheaded by Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon.Ben Kanu to bolster support for President Tinubu’s re-election
- A decision to deliver all other positions for APC in the next General Election.
- A vote of confidence in the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kanu, for his outreach efforts to all LGAs in Abia State and financial support to the party.
- A vote of confidence in Chief Dr. Eruba Dimgba’s leadership, recognizing his proactive approach and support to the grassroots of the party.
- A resolution to reach out to others and encourage new members to join the party in Ukwa West and beyond.

The meeting was monitored by the Abia South Party Zonal Chairman, Sir Justice Onwunmelu, and the Abia South Zonal Secretary, Hon. Mrs. Candy Izuogu, who were sent by the State Party Chairman,Dr Kingsley Ononogbu to witness the stakeholders’ meeting and report back.

Chief Dr. Dimgba’s call for an open-door policy is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the party and increase its chances of success in the next general election. By welcoming new members and encouraging others to join, the party can build on its strengths and achieve its goals.
