The National Assembly has has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The declaration was made during the APC National Summit in Presidential Villa, Abuja, themed “Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far.”

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, leading the National Assembly leadership, praised Tinubu’s leadership and reform-driven governance, citing his ability to steer the country through challenging times and put Nigeria on the path to economic recovery and growth.
Akpabio’s motion for Tinubu’s adoption as the sole presidential candidate was driven by the President’s impressive performance, which has garnered overwhelming support from Nigerians, particularly at the grassroots level, and members of the National Assembly.
According to Akpabio, Tinubu’s achievements have left the opposition in disarray, and Nigerians are eager to reward him with a second term in office.
The APC National Summit served as a platform for the party to showcase its renewed hope agenda and reaffirm its commitment to Tinubu’s leadership.
